Damn, NewGuy doesn’t even show up until next week and you’re already wishing him gone? For one thing, that’s Dr. NewGuy to you. Two, he’s played by ‘The Unit’s Max Martini. And three: To answer your query, he’s only around for three episodes – though they are scattered throughout this run of new episodes.

Any scoop on ‘Lie To Me‘ for the second half of Season 2? – Mary
Lightman will be tasked with getting critical information out of a cop who, because of a gunshot wound, cannot move, speak or even blink. Also, we will meet Torres’ kid sister when a dead body turns up in the boiler room of the juvie hall where’s she’s being held. (The Torres kids had a very rough upbringing, you will learn.)

I noticed that after one more new episode in November and a couple of December repeats, ‘Lie to Me‘ is off Fox’s schedule at least through February 1. Please say it ain’t so! Also, got anything juicy on the growing relationship between Cal and Gillian? – Lisa
Fox hasn’t firmed up its winter schedule just yet, so I can’t vouch for that “February 1″ date. But I must correct you by noting that there are new episodes airing November 30 and December 14. As for Cal’s future with Gillian, don’t count out his ex-wife Zoe (played by Jennifer Beals) just yet. After all, she will be the one in a position to save the doc’s bacon when he gets himself checked into a loony bin… and then has trouble getting out. UPDATE: According to Fox’s now-released midseason schedule, ‘Lie to Me’ has been picked up for a full season and will air its winter finale December 14. It will then return sometime in the spring.

Hoping you have some good ‘Lie to Me’ scoop for us. Also, how is it looking for a complete second season? – Kate
Factoring in a recent ratings uptick and the order of three additional scripts, things are looking “pretty good” for a full-season pickup, one Fox insider tells me. I myself really enjoyed the latest episode, especially when Cal told Eli he would have sacked ‘im if he’d taken the electronics store’s money. I’m now anxious to see the November 30 episode, where Cal risks dredging up some old and very bad habits by working a case at a casino.
