Last night’s re-airing of Lie to Me, “Beat the Devil”, scored a 1.0/3 rating/share, with 3.423 million viewers. It picked up .352 million viewers by 8:30. Lie to Me was in third place for the hour. Also airing at 8 o’clock were new episodes of The Bachelorette (ABC – 2.5/8, 8.478 million) and Persons Unknown (NBC – 0.8/3, 2.937 million), as well as repeats of How I Met Your Mother (CBS, 8:00 – 1.5/5, 4.782 million), Rules of Engagement (CBS, 8:30 – 1.8/6, 5.665 million), and 90210 (CW – 0.3/1, 0.797 million).

Lie to Me scored a 1.9/6 rating/share, with an average of 5.980 million viewers. It actually picked up close to .5 million viewers by the second half hour. This placed it in second place for the hour, behind ABC’s The Bachelorette (2.3/8, 7.473 million). Also airing at the 8 o’clock hour was a new episode of Last Comic Standing (NBC – 1.9/6, 4.864 million), and repeats of How I Met Your Mother (CBS, 8:00 – 1.6/6, 5.379 million), Rules of Engagement (CBS, 8:30 – 1.6/5, 5.539 million), and One Tree Hill (CW – 0.3/1, 0.878 million).

Jamie in Hollywood: Yay for Lie to Me coming back! What’s going on in tonight’s season premiere?
The spring season of Lie to Me opens with an intense episode, called “Beat The Devil”. Lightman (Tim Roth) chases his suspicion of a young scientist being a psychopathic killer, and he’s not just trying to get back at the student for showing him up at his own lying game. The team doesn’t really believe Lightman, but they help him unravel the mystery anyway.

Kalee in Boston: Lie to Me is the only reason I’m excited for summer TV. Got any scoop for me?
The June 14 episode has an explosive beginning, and it revolves around Lightman’s past. Not only do we get a case that comes from his days with the CIA, but we get to see how Lightman and Foster met and became team members.

Melissa George Scores a Recurring Role on Lie to Me

According to EW’s Ausiello, Melissa George will be guesting on Lie to Me as “Clara Martin”, a recurring role that starts in episode 11. Her character was described in the casting call previously announced, but, in short, think Anna Nicole Smith.

According to Ausiello, Clara “is the sassy wife of an older billionaire who has been murdered. After being exonerated in a high-profile murder trial, she assumes control of her husband’s empire. Lightman sees himself in her — naughty, fearless, strategic, and always game for the next adventure.”

UPDATE: According to TVGuide.com, Melissa will appear in at least two episodes. They also state that she and Lightman will “bond over their shared eccentricities”.
