The Big Tease – 9/7/10

7 September 2010 at 10:10 am

Now that ‘Lie To Me’s Gillian is finally done with Dr. Burns, can we see some good Gillian/Cal stuff? After all, Cal did say that he wanted Gillian “in the worst possible way.” – Hilla
Well, he sure has a funny way of showing it. Take the Season 3 episode that guest-stars Tricia Helfer (’Battlestar Galactica’) as a woman who catches Cal’s eye. He whips out every trick in his book to capitalize on her “tells,” reel her in and make her putty in his hands – and practically right in front of Gill!

I actually don’t want to see him with anyone…the cat and mouse stuff helps the show. If they couple him with someone it may take away from the show. He and Gillian need to keep that tension, it adds. Same kind of thing as on Bones between Booth and Brennan. Besides…I don’t want my man with anyone… ;)

I agree with Jennifer. While it would be cute for a while, in the end I really think the tension is better. It adds to the show and keeps the audience looking for those “little moments” within the episodes. I also like her Booth/Brennan from Bones analogy, and now that I think about it, she’s right. It is a lot like that. Keep up the mind games and the tension!

tension is good. while i am all for a gillian/cal romance, i think it would have to be MUCH later in the series (like, the last episode of the series). Romances like that are notorious showkillers. I like the show. I like the tension. I don’t want Cal with a girlfriend– least of all Gillian. But, if they don’t end up together in the end [and i DO mean the VERY end] (a la x-files), I’ll feel I wasted my time with the series.

I really enjoy the science in the show and am really watching it for this and the romance. I hope they make it deep rather than shallow with lots of breakups and I’d love Gillian to have a child. You can make romance exciting in a series and still hold the attention of the audience if it’s done well.

I dunno. I just read an interview that says “in the third season we’ll kick it out” where ‘it’ seems to be the idea of a romantic relationship between cal and Gillian. :( hope that’s not the case.
