Ratings for Monday, 8/16/10

17 August 2010 at 12:01 pm

In its new summer time slot, Lie to Me was down a bit from its last original ep two weeks ago. It scored a 1.6/5 rating/share, with 4.89 million viewers. This put it in third place for the 9 o’clock hour. Also airing in the same time slot was a new Bachelor Pad (ABC – 2.0/6, 5.49 million), and reruns of Two and a Half Men (CBS, 9:00 – 2.4/7, 8.35 million), The Big Bang Theory (CBS, 9:30 – 2.5/7, 8.01 million), America’s Got Talent (NBC – 1.1/3, 4.51 million), and Gossip Girl (CW – 0.3/1, 0.76 million).

As pointed out by James Hibberd of The Live Feed, though down this week, Lie to Me continues to be the highest rated scripted show of the summer.

I’d blame it on the timeslot change.

Seriously, Fox, you don’t know what to do about this show which is a damn shame considering you’ve got TR and we all know TR delives, you also have a nicely assembled cast which happens to be of no use to you. 6-months long break plus summer come back, the latter is supposed to have some logic behind it, right and don’t you even get me started on the episodic mess and quality of writing. So what is it with the ratings, eh?

Don’t get me wrong, I really love the show and it’s too bad we are extremely unlikely to get season 4 now.

so does this mean no more Lie to Me after the short season three? Doesn’t the fact that it is the highest rated scripted show of the summer count for something?

i hope for a great season 4. lets not panic people. im sure that as soon as the audience feels more comfortable n becomes more aware of the new time slot, the number will start going up again. lets not forget about: “highest rated scripted show of the summer” n that not every1 wants to watch sitcoms reruns or reality crap tv, so LTM will have to come to mind @ that point of channel surfing. teh show what it takes to be a great cult show for several seasons n has already proved so. so lets just sit n watch LTM. thats all we gotta do. watch watch watch n spread the word.
