ryan-starRyan Star. Why this guy isn’t 10x more popular than he is now is a mystery to me. A unique voice, a great showman, and an amazing musician. On top of that, he’s a nice guy. Go figure.

A couple months back I caught up with Ryan after a show. I chatted with him a little about his music, the show, renewal, and the blog. During the conversation, he shared a neat fact about his song, “Brand New Day”, which is the theme for the show: Other contenders to write the theme were Rob Thomas, Lindsey Buckingham, and Jakob Dylan. But, obviously, our boy Ryan won out. And, personally, I’m thankful that he did. His title track plays a huge part in the Emmy-nominated opening sequence.
