Ratings for Monday, 12/14/09

15 December 2009 at 12:16 pm

Lie to Me scored a 2.2/6 rating/share, with 6.59 million viewers, following a repeat airing of House that scored a 2.1/6, with 6.70 million viewers. As far as the rating/share goes, this is the lowest of the season, beating out the 10/26 airing for the spot. However, in total viewers, it was up a bit from that episode. And, despite the low rating when compared with the rest of the season, the numbers did place Fox in second place overall for the night.

Also airing at the 9 o’clock hour were new episodes of Two and a Half Men (CBS, 9:00 – 5.2/13, 16.33 million), The Big Bang Theory (CBS, 9:30 – 5.6/14, 15.56 million), Find My Family (ABC – 1.4/3, 5.44 million), The Sing Off (NBC – 2.2/6, 6.39 million), and a rerun of Vampire Diaries (CW – 0.6/2, 1.418 million).

The way I see it, LTM beat Find My Family, The Sing Off and Vampire Diaries. That’s pretty sweet. :) You know, it’s just a busy time of year right now. Maybe the DVR #s will be up. :)

@;;; There are several factors involved, one of which @3rdrocker mentioned, which is the time of year. (It’s right in the middle of December). Also, it’s coming off of a week break, and it had no real lead-in from House. I’m sure Fox knew it wouldn’t perform the way it has been. Overall, it didn’t do too bad. And, rest assured that Fox, or any network, takes all of these factors into consideration when making decisions about the future of shows. In this case, picking up the back nine demonstrated faith in the show, as did, in my opinion, not airing those remaining eps on Friday night. (There is technically an open spot that will be filled with encores of Bones and House.) That being said, it is still a possibility that it could eventually end up there, but we’ll just have to wait and see about that.

the way i see it is that fox renewing LTM is pretty much a safe bet, it has no blockbuster ratings but it has a strong following… i’d like to see more episodes including Jennifer Beals she is a very good actress, she always bring something interesting when she apears and the interaction with Roth is good the divorced couple/parents who care for each other, still attracted for each other but they know they can’t function as a real couple is refreshing
