STORY LINE
Torres’s troubled half-sister, AVA, a resident at a juvenile detention facility, refuses to break the trust of a fellow inmate who was recently found murdered, but her refusal to divulge her dead friend’s secret just may get her killed as well…
[AVA] 18 to play 16, she’s a “beautiful, dynamic, troubled and volatile” Latina girl, Torres’s half-sister and a real force to be reckoned with. Raised by the same abusive alcoholic father as Torres, Ava has had a troubled adolescence and is currently a resident in a juvenile detention facility. Fiery, impulsive and rebellious, Ava nonetheless has a fiercely honest streak, and the fact that Torres disbelieves everything she says is a source of constant friction between the two siblings. When her fellow inmate at the facility is found murdered, Ava is determined to keep her friend’s secret — but her refusal to break the dead girl’s trust just may get her killed as well…GUEST STAR.
