STORY LINE
When a captured Taliban soldier claims to be a secret U.S. spy, Lightman is sent to Afghanistan to find out the truth…

[FRANKO] mid 30s, Caucasian/Latino. Intense and bitter, this Taliban soldier is captured by U.S. Forces in the mountains of Afghanistan. An American who speaks Pashto (We’ll teach the lines), he is a spy who was abandoned by his country six years ago, left to fend for himself. Having converted to Islam, his emotions are all over the map — he’s ashamed of betraying the U.S. but also angry at what he sees as the military’s betrayal of him. Franko is former military with SERE and Special Ops, but wiry and normal looking (NOT “military built”). He’s an alley cat who survives out in the world and has spent six years in Afghanistan. He and Lightman enter into a complex battle for dominance, and they may have more in common than Lightman would care to admit…GUEST STAR

[LENNOX] Female or Male. African-American. 40 years old, s/he’s the Deputy Assistant to the President for National Security Affairs. S/he shows up at the Lightman Group with a classified, top secret, and highly dangerous job for Lightman. S/he also has a secret task for Foster, and s/he’s anxious that she report back to him about Komisky…GUEST STAR

[ED KOMISKY] 50 years old, charming and smart, he’s a longtime member of the Department of Defense (He is former military and still understands it), left over from the two previous administrations, and currently the Special Advisor to the Deputy Secretary. He’s been sent to observe the progress that Lightman and his team are making with Franko, and it seems Komisky’s interest in Franko may have to do with covering his own tracks…GUEST STAR

[AUNT WENDY PERRIMAN] 60 years old, a retired CPA living in a Florida condo, she claims to be Franko’s aunt, who raised him ever since his mother Peg died. Only half of her story checks out, however. Twenty-three years ago, CIA contacted her to play valuable role…GUEST STAR

[MO] Male. Middle-Eastern. 29 years old, a technologically-minded Afghani-American working as a soldier, Mo (short for Mohammed) works with U.S. Major Parks in Afghanistan and sets up all the satlink-laptops and headsets so that Lightman can communicate with his team back home, and so that Parks can gives orders to his soldiers in the field. Mo is livid when Franko appears to have sent the soldiers into an ambush, and he holds a bayonet to Franko’s throat…CO-STAR / POSSIBLE GUEST STAR

[RICK MASSEY] 17 years old. Emily’s (Hayley McFarland) new boyfriend. He is a good kid who is nervous when Emily introduces him to her dad…CO-STAR / POSSIBLE ONE DAY GUEST STAR / RECURRING / MUST ALSO BE AVAILABLE FOR #213 (12/7 – 12/16)

[JIM / ERIC / ADAM] Late 20s to Early 30s. Latino, Caucasian, Middle Eastern, Native American or Indian. SMU (Special Mission Unit) soldiers under Parks’ command. They are employed for their quick thinking and willingness to kill and are more like vice cops in appearance (not muscled up soldiers). They are 99% dudes and 1% killer, but the one percent is really important…CO-STAR

[MR. AND MRS. WELSH] This couple in their 60s, living in Iowa City, are surprised to see Lightman at their door…CO-STAR / POSSIBLE ONE DAY GUEST STAR

Wow. I love how this season is turning out! They are definitely being a bit more adventurous when it comes to locations. Mexico, Vegas and now Afghanistan? I can’t wait :) Thanks for the info!

I agree @Amanada and although I like it much better when the entire cast works on one case together (as they did in “Blinded” last season) it is interesting and fun to see how they make it work off site too. Noticing that more and more suggestions seemed to have been pulled from the Fox boards too!
