Episode 2×7 – Casting Call and Story Line

Reynolds’ murky years as an undercover agent come back to haunt him when the star witness against his old criminal boss, ELLIOT GREENE, is killed before he can testify. But Reynolds has his own very personal reasons for refusing to testify in that witness’s stead, and his reluctance just may prompt frustrated AUSA Jeffrey Denning to slap him with criminal charges…

[SHEILA RADOTTI] Early 40s. An intensely focused woman who is the FBI agent who acted as Reynolds’ (Mekhi Phifer) handler and superior back when he was undercover. This is a woman who can play the political game when needed and succeed. She is sharp and bright. When Reynolds needs her to get his back, Sheila denies his claims that she signed off on certain of his less savory undercover activities. Sheila is genuinely fond of Reynolds, but she’s an ambitious woman who puts career before loyalty. A strong woman who refuses to admit fault, she may meet her match in Lightman…GUEST STAR

[U.S. MARSHAL JOHNSON] Any Ethnicity. 30s, in great shape, educated with a military look, this U.S. Marshal is part of the contingent that is guarding star federal witness, Troy McLaughlin, on his way to a safe house. When McLaughlin is slain by a sniper en route, Johnson denies any culpability. But Lightman senses he is lying. As Lightman learns, Johnson is certainly not a corrupt lawman on the take, but he was guilty of a fatal breach of procedure…GUEST STAR

[MARY MCLAUGHLIN] 40s, a loyal, lovely wife. After her husband’s murder, she’s brought in for questioning along with her husband’s mistress. Her resentment of her younger rival is palpable, as is her sadness over her husband’s fate…ONE DAY GUEST STAR

[KIMI SALCIDO] Late 20s, this pretty young exotic dancer was Tony McLaughlin’s mistress. Brought in for questioning, Kimi is also genuinely distressed by Tony’s death and even more upset to learn that she may have been the unwitting cause of his murder…ONE DAY GUEST STAR

[TONY MCLAUGHLIN] 40s, he looks like an affluent investment banker. He’s a white collar criminal seen in flashback beating up an unfortunate victim. However, when he agrees to testify against his former boss, his days are numbered. En route to a safe house, he’s gunned down by an unseen sniper…CO-STAR

[NICK] In his 30s, this unfortunate businessman is seen in flashback, getting beaten to a pulp by Greene’s goons in the back room at a New Year’s party…CO-STAR

[U.S. MARSHAL KELLER AND U.S. MARSHAL BERNASKI] Any ethnicity. 30s, these U.S. Marshals are in great physcial shape, educated and have a military look. They are guarding Tony at the time of his fatal shooting. Later, under questioning, they are nervous, but Lightman quickly ascertains that they are telling the truth…CO-STAR
